This has to be one of the best things I've EVER seen on the internet... a lego bible! Percy sent me the link last week, and I only just visited it while I was clearing out my inbox..... boy oh boy oh boy is it good. It has some amazing lego constructions, some great photos, it's superb!

Been busy last week at work with new installs of MacOS 9 (X is still dodgy for Cubase) and upgrading Cubase to 5.1 for both Mac and PC's no end of problems there.....

Then we had visitors, Michael (my brother-in-laws brother) who is codriving for Andy Gwynne in car 123 in the Network Q rally this year. We're going to watch the special stage tomorrow.

And in my spare (hah!) time, I've written a new race for PernAngband...

At the weekend I made a hole in the wall. Essentially it's so we can get our heating fixed.... We also saw a preview of the new Harry Potter which was good, true to the book, excellent set pieces. A few little touches form the book were missing, like some of the classrooom scenes, but the film was 2.5 hours long as it was, so I can see why some of it was missing.

w00t!skinz.org is back! Even though it's not called skinz.org at the moment. It's kind of the site with no name, as three other domains point there.... I kinda like the idea though, it's like "Yeah, we're a skin site, this is what we do"

weeee lots of fun stuff today! without wishing to brag, I've been doing the napkin trick for years. Obviously I can't claim original credit for it, as I was taught it by john, but it's cool to see it documented somewhere. Oh yeah found out about the site from same place as the quiz (above).

Try out the Harry Potter Quiz at the Guardian. See if you can beat my abysmal score of 8/23.

We're decorating our hall. It all started when we fixed the new letter box and "doorbell that won't stop ringing" to our front door and decided that now we'd got that far, doing the rest of it would be easy. One (expensive) trip to B&Q later, and it's almost there.

It took us nearly 8 hours to fix that letterbox. I am such a DIY hero.

There are some rather cool props, costume and set pictures of the forthcoming Lord of the Rings movie, over at The One Ring.net. Some of them have an obsessive amount of detail on them, like a section of wall from the mines of Moria, with dwarven runes inscribed. Apparently (yes, some nutters study these things) it actually says fairly dwarven things too... "we will hew them out of rock and make lead and mithril and mighty axes under the ground blah blah blah" I suppose.

Well, what do you think dwarves talk about?

The new issue of Teknidermy was out yesterday. There's loads of cool stuff in there this month, a cool interview with gorman, news about Pixtudio and loads more excellent stuff. I'll be writing a Nextstart article for the next issue, with a free exclusive theme...
